Is is possible that there is something your life so sacred and so valuable that God put special guidelines and protection around it?

That He promised that when you walk according to those guidelines that he'd bless you beyond what you can imagine and rebuke the enemy, so that he cannot steal kill and destroy?

And also if you don't follow them, that you would bring a curse on yourself and open a doorway to the enemy?

We know that the Old Testament talks about tithing, but does that mean that Christians must tithe today? #Christianliving #spiritualgrowth #money #tithe #Bible #Biblestudy #finances

    • It was dedicated to God for sacred use

    • They could share the spoil of all the other cities
    • But the spoil of Jericho was to go into the treasury of the Lord

Achan took some of the spoil for himself

Joshua 7:11-13

Ezekiel 20:40-41

“For on My holy mountain, on the mountain height of Israel,” says the Lord GOD, “there all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, shall serve Me; there I will accept them, and there I will require your offerings and the firstfruits of your sacrifices, together with all your holy things. I will accept you as a sweet aroma when I bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you have been scattered; and I will be hallowed in you before the Gentiles."

Malachi 3:6-12

“For I am the LORD, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob. Yet from the days of your fathers you have gone away from My ordinances and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you,”
Says the LORD of hosts. “But you said, ‘In what way shall we return?’ Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me!
But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me, even this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes,
So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” Says the LORD of hosts; And all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a delightful land,” Says the LORD of hosts.
